Jeff Troan

Jeff is a managing director of Vista Site Selection.  He has four decades of experience working in business development, real estate, site selection and economic development.

Jeff assists clients with every step across the site selection process and has been helping clients in this process for nearly a decade.  He has worked with clients from numerous industries and helps them secure economic development incentives across all levels of government.  In the aerospace field, he specializes in integrating incentives and site selection into federal government bids, to optimize proposal cost structures.

Before taking on a business consultant role, Jeff spent more than 30 years in-house working for Lockheed Martin Corporation.  While at Lockheed Martin, he served in several senior roles.  His responsibilities included managing a $2B global portfolio of incentives, and leading the site selection process.  Jeff also led efforts to convert property owned by the company into new mixed-use developments in order to maximize revenue.  In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of operations including construction, land sales, zoning, entitlement, remediation and demolition.  The breadth of his project technical experience ranges from Submarine Wide Aperture Arrays to the Orion Spacecraft. 

Jeff has spoken at economic development and site selection conferences.  He also serves as an expert witness in the credits and incentives field.

Jeff received his M.B.A. from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.  He received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
